科拉松Latinx is a cultural affinity group for Latin@s 和 Latin American students that 支持s cultural events 和 讨论s on theology from a Latin American 和 US Latin@ perspective. Past events have included hosting movie nights 和 讨论s, organizing Spanish worship services, 和 celebrating Dia de Los Muertos, Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe 和 other cultural feast days.
The question is not whether we will live out a public faith but how. This student group is committed to providing the STM community with resources for prayer, 教育, 宣传, 和 action around issues that impact our global community 和 that call for a gospel response, especially immigration, 气候变化, 种族歧视, the upcoming election, 和 justice for the LGBTQ community. The group is committed to facilitating constructive dialogue that can serve as a bridge across various positions on these critical issues as together we search for just 和 peaceful responses to these contemporary needs. 今年, the coalition implemented the STM's #CareforCreationLent initiative 和 co-sponsored the screening of two films from the New Immigrant 和 Refugee Visions film series.
Gaudete is the STM extension of the greater lesbian, 同性恋, bisesxual, 变性人, queer (LGBTQ+) 和 ally resources at 电子游戏软件. We are a welcoming 和 affirming community of STM students, which recognizes the dignity of each person 和 seeks to enrich acceptance of diverse gender 和 sexual identities at the STM. We provide a space for hope, witness, 和 dialogue for all students. We celebrate inclusivity through fellowship, 讨论, workshops 和 events sponsorship at the STM 和 beyond.

The STM Interreligious Engagement Group seeks to provide students with information 和 awareness about the importance of interreligious engagement by providing chances to explore ecumenical 和 interfaith opportunities at 电子游戏软件 和 in the greater Boston community. 全年, we strive to host interfaith 和 ecumenical 讨论 groups, 讲座, 和 "Interfaith Journeys" to visit worship services 和 sacred spaces around Boston.
流光与生命 is the student academic journal of the School of Theology 和 Ministry (STM) at 电子游戏软件. We are delighted to publish yearly the research, 反射, 和 reviews of our peers, from the many diverse areas of theology represented at the school.
Through this publication, we hope to bring this exceptional work to a wider audience. 在初始阶段, we intend to increase fellow STM students’ knowledge of the scholarship being done outside of their own specialty, thereby allowing us here at the STM to benefit from the rich variety of our school. 在更深的层面上, we hope that it may contribute to the interdisciplinary conversation at 电子游戏软件 和 in the larger academic world, 和 may demonstrate once more how mutually illuminating the interaction can be between Catholic theology, 学院, 和 the wider culture.
Another significant benefit of this publication is the opportunity for students to go through the formal process of sharing their work with the 神学 community. This opportunity is not limited to the publication, as 流光与生命 also coordinates colloquia 和 symposia at the STM where this opportunity for exchange occurs in other formats.
The Prison Ministry Initiative (PMI) group at BC STM provides 支持 for students 和 other members of the STM community involved in prison ministry. Members of our group minister at multiple institutions, including Massachusetts Correctional Institution in Framingham, MA, 和 Suffolk County House of Correction in South Boston. We have varying degrees of experience, ranging from members who have been ministering for over 10 years to those who are interested in prison ministry but have not had the chance to be involved yet.
Our on-site ministry might include joining inmates for a common Mass, leading communion services, or visiting people in solitary confinement. PMI offers members a chance to reflect together on this ministry. We meet for potluck dinners three times per semester, which includes time for 反射 和 prayer led by one of our members. We are grateful to be able to create a space for our members to reflect on both the challenges 和 blessings encountered in prison ministry. New members are always welcome to join.
The Social Organizing Committee (SOC) organizes gatherings on 和 off-campus for 教师, 工作人员, 和 students to deepen 和 enhance the 社会 life of the STM. Such gatherings have included apple picking, the Great STM Bake Off, the Taste of the STM, 还有制作念珠. We work in collaboration with student organization groups, 和 one of our big projects is to help facilitate Eschaton Week at the end of the spring semester. We put the SOC in 社会!
每年, the STM alternates between sending a delegation to El Salvador or to the US/Mexico Border. These immersions are an opportunity to deepen 和 exp和 students' underst和ing of the historical, 神学, 社会, 政治, 和 emotional dimensions that intimately influence current realities in each location. 全年, the group will have pre-immersion meetings, 筹款活动, a post-immersion retreat, 和 a week-long immersion encounter over spring break. 在一起, the group journeys on a year-long pilgrimage of encounter, discerning how to live into a faith that does justice.
The Student Forum is a council of representatives from the STM student body comprised of elected officers 和 appointed group coordinators. These student representatives work to enhance 和 enliven STM community life through coordination 和 funding of student programs; providing a forum for 讨论s of academic 和 student life policies, 课程, community life 和 formation; 和 acting as a liaison between STM students, administration 和 教师.

The STM 妇女组织 seeks to provide a community for all students, 教师, 工作人员, 和 alumnae who identify as female. We strive to promote greater inclusivity by uplifting, 授权, 和 celebrating the voices of women 和 other globally marginalized persons. Working from a feminist model of leadership, we aspire to create inclusive spaces for dialogue, to facilitate community 和 collaboration with other STM groups, 和 to foster an equal 教育al environment.
